The results of these pilot activities will be exhibited and shared with the cross-border communities in order to build partnerships for the future development of a network of cyclestations to promote environmentally friendly tourism and recreation in the cross-border regions and to strengthen and support the Franco-British Cycle Plan and the Avenue Verte London in Paris, pursuing the Charter signed in 1999. The term cyclestations as it is used in the text means facilities built along cycle /multi-user paths providing services depending on requirements to tourists and local users, to promote environmentally-friendly tourism, transport and recreational activities.
