Project ˝Adventure Exploring Europe˝ is designed as a joint project of the ˝Zelena patrola˝ Scout Troop from Croatia (ZP) and ˝Chorley Healey˝ Scout Troop (CH) from England,within the Erasmus+ Programme,KA1, Learning Mobility of Individuals, Youth mobility. DESCRIPTION The project represents a connection of ZP and CH through an idea and implementation of the common organization of ZP's trip to England and staying of both groups at a ˝Red Rose 2014˝ Camp,which takes place in Westmorland,England. OBJECTIVES -to increase the opportunities of ZP's members to travel to England -to additionally inform members of ZP and CH on the possibilities and opportunities of cooperation and financing through EU programmes,especially through Erasmus+. -to increase mobility of ZP's young members and encourage participation of youth members of CH in mobility projects -thus contributing to inclusion of young people in the projects provided by EU and to opening and stimulating a feeling of the availability of numerous possibilities to create different connections within the EU TOPICS Youth(Participation,Youth Work,Youth Policy) Enhance social inclusion,equal opportunities and participation in sports PARTICIPANTS Members of ZP and CH' troops: 4 girls and 12 boys ranging from 13-24 years,group leaders 3 young people with fewer opportunities LEARNING OUTCOMES Overall project activities are designed to encourage creativity and active participation of all members and thus acquiring different competencies that could be useful for lifetime. Participation of young members and leaders of both partners in the mobility project will result in improving of existing and acquisition of new interpersonal,intercultural and civil competencies,ones of artistic and cultural expression,the initiative and entrepreneurial,communication in native and foreign languages,mathematical,scientific,technological and digital competencies and also of learning how to learn.Project will make an impact on increasing the capacity of organizations for further activities in projects within Erasmus+,as well as in the other projects at European/international level.It will also stimulate development and introduction of innovative approaches and methods for working with young people and creating a more modern,dynamic and professional environment within organizations. CERTIFICATES Certificates of Participation Youthpass ACTIVITIES With this project,there are implemented mobility activities of members of ZP and CH in England.Total duration of mobility is 14 days,including travel days. Numerous planned activities during mobility can be divided into two groups. The first one relates to ways of exploring life,customs,culture and young people from other countries and takes place for five days: a visit to Manchester and Old Trafford visits to local museums in Chorley exploring nature around Chorley through various scouting activities of orientation in space digital presentation of natural resources of ZP's homecountry canoeing one-day hiking at West Pennine Moorse Home Hospitality exchange of experiences evenings by campfire fun time of playing different games and discussions,dancing and singing Another group activities goes on through joint participation of ZP and CH at˝Red Rose 2014˝Scout Camp,which includes sports and open-air activities.Through ZP and CH's teamwork,there are organized activities of: "International Challenge"-presentation of natural resources of their regions "Adventure"-rock climbing "Fun"-competition through a little more "traditional" sports "Explore"-steam-train ride,visit to the mining museum passing through the underworld and visit to Park Forest "Splash"-lake activities,canoeing,boat rides ˝Challenge"-traditional scouting activities in nature evenings in a relaxed atmosphere motivate on socializing,exchanging and writing impressions. All the activities are recorded in forms of digital photos and videos. Why is project SPECIFIC Upon completion of the project activities,there are numerous effects and impacts on participants of the project,noticeable through improved important competencies of young participants and their stimulated social inclusion and healthy lifestyle,with lots of outdoor activities.Improved methods and quality of working with young people are also very important part of this project's impacts.From the point of view of organizations,taking part in this project contributes to widening an international dimension of working with young people,strengthening the role of people who work with youth and of youth organizations themselves,through the experience capacity's growth.At community level,project contributes to development of youth policies,recognition of non-formal and informal learning and dissemination of a good practice.It awares the wider community on socially important issues and problems in working with young people and encourages the strengthening of solidarity,friendship and European democratic values.
