AUTOMATION OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES AND CNC PROGRAMMING

Students with learning by doing and dissemination of good practices gain professional, linguistic, social knowledge and improve their communication, skills of entrepreneurship, digital skills and ICT, which contribute to increasing the employability in the European labour market. The acquisition of practical and theoretical knowledge of CNC programming and automation of production processes is carried out in school and in companies. Project enables to boost participants' self confidence, adaptability, personal growth, to manage unexpected situations, handle new challenges, inclination to teamwork, interact with people and intercultural dialogue.Project is a great opportunity to extend cooperation between learning institutions, to support innovations, improvements, rising the quality and attractiveness of vocational education, transfer of knowledge and introduction of new content into our curriculum and to promote of Slovenian knowledge. It supports mobility throughout Europe, European dimension of education and evaluation of knowledge according to European standards, long lasting partnerships.The emphasis is on the acquisition of the following professional skills: 1.) CNC programing/operation machines; 2.) on field of hydraulics, pneumatics: managing with equipment, controlling devices, planning controls-design and construct scheme with appropriate computer programs, link the elements, combining, control cylinders (with valves/other elements), 3. robotics: manage, programming, controlling, operation of robots.Group consists of 16 VET students of third class of mechanical engineers with good theoretical and practical knowledge that will upgrade existing skills to meet the needs of different local industrial companies that will employ these students. Strong emphasis is placed on quality of the organization of education, preparation of students and safety in work. The training content is agreed with foreign school and enterprises.Criteria of selection of the participants are professional knowledge and language skills.Companies involved in project strengthen their cooperation, benefits from the dissemination of results; moreover, project is important for others, i.e. local authorities, the leadership, parents, schools.Teachers gain professional, linguistic, social skills and transfer knowledge to others.Communication is in English/German language with use of technical phrases. Students get instructions about the behavior in foreign country, clothing, footwear, how to deal with unexpected/dangerous situations, information about its history, culture, climate, habits, food, nature. WORK PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES AND METHODOLOGY :- presentation school,-attending theory/practical courses: CNC programing, hydraulic, pneumatics and robotics, -making practical products,-school outings to industry,-cultural programme,-visit museums, castles, galleries, excursions,-leisure activities, sports,-publication in various media,-evaluation, presentation of aims, dissemination,-activities of staff: monitoring, mentoring, transfer of skills.Project has a great Impact on professional and personal development of students (see above). Project activities are recognized as a practice within regular education - project is the part of the regular school programme and students are assessed for training abroad. Participants receive Europass and Certificate from foreign school. The project has a major impact on all participating schools (see above) and is important for local community, companies, local and wider environment, because it enables cooperation, friendship, supporting innovations, improvements, transfer of skills and enables long lasting partnerships.
