The volunteer supports the head of the country group with the planning and running of events. In doing so they learn how to prepare and succesfully bring to a conclusion events such as discussion rounds, talks and lectures, the so-called country weeks, dance and music evenings. The continual presence of a permanent member of staff ensures the tasks and the learning experiences are individually adjusted to suit the volunteer. Together with their tutor the volunteers themselves can determine the level of work; this may stretch from simple tasks of a manual or technical nature to flexible organisational tasks. The scope of work is very diverse so that they can choose to focus between areas of organisation, medial support or technology, applying their own abilities and their competence to the task in hand.
