Ausbau und Verbesserung der berufsspezifischen Qualifikation in kaufmännischen, gewerblichen und sozialen Ausbildungsberufen auf europäischer Ebene und der angewandten fremdsprachlichen Kommunikation im beruflichen Kontext
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Several international projects of the vocational school in Pinneberg shall be initiated and supported by the Erasmus+ program. We sent one teacher to the European project management seminar in order to obtain first-hand information on social, cultural, curricular, political and organisational conditions about countries of other participants. The teacher used the opportunity to meet potential partners and set up an eTwinning-project. The objective and potential long term benefit for our school will be to establish and/or intensify the European dimension in classes for the different types of vocational training offered by our school. This aim should also be achieved by participation in courses for vocational training sytems and foreign languages. These projects are particularly crucial in the special logistics field. Globalization is increasing massively and cross-border trade is becoming more and more important. In our opinion it is highly necessary to prepare our students for the internationality of their future tasks. They must learn that contact and exchange with international business partners is essential for their professional future. The already existing contact with the school in St. Calais is ideal for supporting this target. To promote and stabilize this partnership on the long run, it was very important that participating teachers got into contact to become familiar with the different concepts of vocational education which has started to be realized in the process of above mentioned job-shadowing. Two teachers of our school visited the partner school for a period of two weeks to gain an on-site overview about the education of students. Both theoretical teaching in the classroom and practical education in the companies were observed. Therefore, we were interested in visiting local logistic enterprises to learn more about frame conditions and requirements. Concerning an achieved long-term partnership it seems useful to us that students get the opportunity for a practical training in the respective other country. Gained experience due to the job shadowing will help teachers to prepare students for this practical training. Teachers from our French partner-School will visit our school this autumn.
