Determination of the principal of Vallaskoli to apply and get involved in international project is based on the fact that the school has a very good experience of similar projects that have had an empowering and inspiring effect on school work. The goal of the project is to support and strengthen Vallaskolis policy to offer professional continuing education and retraining for the school staff. The projects duration is for one year and the application is for three members from the school leadership team. It has been decided that because of her experience we will begin with sending our Head of the younger department to the first course, but it has not yet been decided who are going to attend the second course. The course Teach, learn and quality which will be held in the vicinity of Lisbon in Portucal in October 2014 will give us more opportunities to enhance the quality of development in our school and teach us how to approach and support the quality development. The course will give us a better insight within organizations and how we can set up a quality system within our school. In the implementation process in the context of the new general curriculum, we need managers to provide motivation to all of the school staff by exchanging ideas and solutions in a global context, it can only become easier and more motivating for us. Regarding the course Leading schools into the future which will be held in Ljubliana in Slovenia in November 2014 then we expect that it will help us to see what kind of leadership talent will be most useful to us in the future. The focus will be on providing support and enhancing skills in strategy that will help us to deal with the changes that can not be avoided in the future. This applies both to the changes that we self do at our school and the changes that come from the outside. First and foremost, we focus on those who are selected by our principal to participate in those projects to be very god in communication skills. To begin with we will be focusing on informing others in the leadership team of the findings of the project. Then we will start with the teachers and other supporting staff. News about the project will be posted on the school webside and the local community webside. It is also intended to specially inform the school council, parent council and the education council about the main results about the project. If there will be further interest for dissemination of the project we will look to the surrounding schools as well as to the schools in the region. The ongoing evaluation system in Vallaskóli is a part of the self evaluation and we will use that to evaluate this project. To begin with we will assess how the experience of the participants of the courses was. The principal will question each participant and asks for a report from them. In the long term we will have to give the participants time to bring their knowledge to other staff at school. That introduction is among other introductions specially evaluated in staff evaluation which is on agenda in April each year. It is also good to have a checklist of self-evaluation as a reference when working on assessment and SWOT analysis of the data. It should be noted that evaluation of those who work at Vallaskóli is not feasible until the results of the project has been presented for all previously mentioned or at the second half of next school year.
