Our school, the Haupt- und Realschule Grasberg / Worpswede, was founded on 01.08.2013 and integrates two formerly independent secondary schools which merged due to structural changes. We appreciate international contacts and cooperation in Europe and want to upgrade the quality of our work to a more professional level.Focal points of our training needs are addressing didactic and methodical innovations, the expansion of our teaching skills, the development of more competent project management skills , the regrouping of formerly existing international cooperation and the improvement of the quality of our school by means of internationalisation. We want to profit from best practice at a European level to enhance the quality of our teaching and our pupils´ learning. We need to create a better understanding of other cultures and countries, contribute to the reduction of prejudice, xenophobia and to oppose right-wing extremism. We want to contribute to the development of European awareness. As we live in a multicultural society we have to convey these values and attitudes to our pupils in order to prepare them well for a European labour market. We want to renew the international orientation of our school and take advantage of opportunities for international networking in order to enable further projects. The six participants in the training are representatives of the departments German / social sciences, mathematics / science, foreign languages, health and social services as well as our school social pedagogue. We want to learn about European education systems, we can compare curricula and visit educational institutions where internships are provided. We will monitor innovative approaches to learning, work out new methods, reflect our own teaching methods in order to develop and improve our teaching skills. We will become familiar with ICT innovations and their applications and acquire practical knowledge. We expand language skills and intercultural skills. Continuing education in the European context helps us to draw up an eligible school policy plan for the internationalization of our school to improve intercultural education and to introduce an international dimension into the curricula. We want to use the opportunity to network and find partners to initiate projects in the framework of the Erasmus + Key action 2.Courses were selected on School Education Gateway according to the training needs of our institution. The course programs provide information about content, methods, flow, objectives and expected learning outcomes of the training, preparation or follow-up requirements. Learning achievement and progress should be documented, online collaboration is provided. Participants will inform all school committees, discuss results and establish working groups in order to incorporate the training results in our school development plan, the school's work plan and our approach in teaching practice. Target groups for dissemination are neighbouring schools, adult education, institutions of youth work and youth sports clubs, integration helpers and refugee support groups. Community bodies, authorities and the press will be informed; eTwinning project partners will be involved.Participants improve their personal, social, professional skills, update didactic and methodological knowledge, expand options for action, improve intercultural skills, strengthen the capacity for teamwork, enhance conflict resolution and problem coping strategies. We will measure our actions to best-practice examples. We will continue to build an international network and this will enable us to create new projects. We can enhance our students´ social skills and intercultural knowledge and - with regard to pending decisions on career choice - encourage them to make use of European options.Advanced methodological and pedagogical competence of teaching staff will lead to better social behavior, an atmosphere based on trust, and, as a result, improved work habits in our classes which will lead our pupils to reach a higher level of achievement. We will share the results, incorporate them in our teaching and we will apply differencing and modern methods. We will revise the school's curriculum and create motivating material adapted to our educational needs in order to increase motivation and learning outcomes. Cooperation with parents will be improved, intercultural problems solved much more competent than before. Our work will be gain more proffessionnal quality, as a team of experts we are connected to all staff members and envisage the successful implementation of new projects. We are sure that they will support us.
