Auf der Suche nach neuen Wegen II (Rückbegegnung)
Start date: May 1, 2015,
End date: Dec 31, 2015
The exchange for Spanish and German youngsters “Looking for new Paths ll” will take place in Quetzdölsdorf and Halle (Saale) from 14th to 24th of May 2015. The target group are 15 youngsters from each country, mainly with fewer opportunities and partly with serious social difficulties. The goal we want to achieve with this project is to reflect, which “paths” are hidden for us until now and how we can explore actively new paths, in order to facilitate personal development and social integration of those young people. The cooperation of local organisations for youth welfare and the international youth work is a main pillar of the project which allows us to achieve a long-term impact on the youth.
We are together one part of Europe and we are striking out on a new path to meet each other. The young people will get a chance to reflect about their own identity and to be aware about its diversity. To be conscious about one’s own identity and discover similarities with others is an important condition for the ability to be openminded. One important objective of the exchange is to strengthen this ability, to reduce the fear of the unknown and to arouse curiosity for discovering unknown realities and paths. We also want the participants to explore the rural area, to value and respect it, and to discover old professions and new youth initiatives.
During the exchange different activities are planned: thematic workshops e.g. about the own identity and perspectives for the future, experiential educative activities and sports, activities to discover the rural area, creative workshops prepared by the participants, a city game in Halle in small groups, lunch in the families of the participants and creative workshops, in which the participants will create together a photo exhibition, a Rap song and a graffiti. Those products will be presented in a public closing event in the Kinder- und Jugendhaus e.V. in order dissiminate the project results among their families, other pedagogues and youngsters.
