Our project is called „Attractive city 2015“. The main aim of our project is to promote the reflection on multiculturalism in society and we want to find ways how young people can feel more powerfully connected to live in their own city, becoming more tolerant and active citizens. We also want to foster the relationship of people from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences, decreasing prejudices and increasing social cohesion of multicultural Europe. The project will allow the young people from Ireland,italy , Poland and Finland to make a model of a city attractive for them to live in the future and discuss about it. Our idea is based on the belief that young people can find solutions that can allow them to became more responsible, more important. This project will give the young people space to develop their leadership skills by: planing and delivering different activities, presentations, performances using verbal and nonverbal language and learning by doing about education, job culture, free time, life style to live in attractive place for them. The project will also give the young people a chance to think about their future job carrers and ways of making a income for life. They will represent their own country and share their own opinions and knowledge about their life to each other.. This will build possibility to make friendship between young people and organizations to continue our relations in the future. There will be 50participants and 10leaders. The project will be based in Dublin for one day and Wick ow, the project will be held over 8 days in June 2015 . We will use Sport. Art , IT and group work activities to help participants understand how to live in the contemporary society and we will use non formal and group workings for each task on the project days.
the longer term benefits are for the young people to broaden their horizons in the field of work , education and see Europe as having many opportunities for a good life.
