ASSOCIATION FOR INNOVATION IN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE

The association was formed with vocational schools, a business association, a chamber of commerce and a company, belonging to 5 different countries, all interested in educational innovation in Industrial Maintenance. During these two years we have invited other institutions to participate in our activities. The main goal was to establish a stable network at the end of the project, and finally we have succeeded: at the last meeting 14 institutions from 9 countries signed the Partnership Agreement. The association has aimed to know the different educational systems, encourage the exchange of educational experiences, promote mobility projects for teachers and students, involve companies in the students training and develop innovative projects to improve teaching. The meetings have served to lay the foundations of such projects in the future organization, especially the definition of the European profile of Maintenance Technician. We have worked with the point of view to develop a common framework based on the EQF and the recognition ECVET credits to achieve quality student mobility between schools with recognition and validation of learning units; and the promotion of internship in companies involved in the network. As in all meetings have been conducted technical visits, has managed to involve leading companies in the project, obtaining sometimes assignments of machinery and equipment, sponsorships, etc.The final result is the best proof of success achieved: it has been created a network that will give continuity to this project, involving schools, businesses, chambers of commerce, business associations, government and private organizations...etc, showing clearly the European added value provided by this project.
