The Erasmus+ Mobility project "Intelligence is a Treasure!" is inspired by our school anthem. The current project supports the increase of the teachers’ competences through the individual mobility opportunities. Courses abroad and international cooperation play an important part in our current development plan, the objective of which is to increase the interest of our teachers towards the innovative teaching methodologies and study materials in use all over Europe and therefore also increase the development and intelligence of our students. Our school values highly innovative and open-minded teachers who are able to make the students’ eyes shine when learning and thereby boost their motivation to learn. The individual mobility courses give us an opportunity to safe-keep and enhance this value judgment. In order to implement this project, a team was called upon and the coordinator was chosen to arrange and monitor the implementation of the project, as well as to spread information about the benefits of the project (new knowledge and skills) to other parties. The present project accelerates the collaboration among teachers of different fields (participation in preparation, workshops etc) and also possibilities for integration. Project activities: 1. Teacher preparation for mobility courses: language studies, logistics, cultural background information, safety aspects. 2. Development of an initial certification system for the school. 3. Participation in the Erasmus+ individual mobility. 4. Sharing the knowledge (workshops, in-service trainings). 5. Evaluation and feedback (valuation of the course and the application of the gained knowledge). 6. Writing the final report. The expectations concerning the effect of the outcomes of the mobility in the long run are high since we expect high-level courses which benefit to teachers’ self-development. A professional and efficient teacher contributes to the developmental aspects of students as well as the implementation and improvement of the school’s development plan. We wish for our slogan, Intelligence is a Treasure!, to convey a significant meaning both in the minds of our students and teachers. Taking part in the mobility project is a step closer to achieving this goal.
