The overall objective of the project is the improvement of living conditions and standards of living of the inhabitants in the cross-border area covered by the project. Expected Results: 1. Reduction of emission of liquid wastes to rivers and lakes in the cross-border area by means of construction the sewerage and water supply systems in Olecko Commune (Poland) and Commune of Kazlu Ruda (Lithuania), service connection in Olecko Commune and sewage treatment plant in Kazlu Ruda Commune.2. Creation of conditions to realize pro-ecology investments in the area of the Russian partner of the project by developing the technical documentation and feasibility study for the same type of construction works in Gusev (Russia).3. Establishment of pro-ecology attitudes and reactions amongst inhabitants of the area covered by the project through elaboration of a cross-border joint strategy pertaining to the water conservation and organization of international seminar for discussion of the matter How to save water in Olecko (Poland) with participants from all partner countries.
