The organizing partners of the project "ArtMagica", Ludwig Wolker Haus e.V. Berlin and Dům dětí a mládeže Praha provide an opportunity for youth with fewer opportunities in an international encounter. Stakeholders working with this target group will be shown the potentials of non-formal education in an international context. Twenty youth age 13 to 15 years from Germany and Czech Republic will meet in May ad September 2015 to develop activly and result-orientated their own show in black light theatre. Black light theatre is a kind of " hide-out-theatre" and non-verbal on stage. For this reason the method is very suitable for an international youth group. Black light theatre allows to develop new communicative and performative working methods. On stage the young people can express themselves without being recognized personally. This will support security and willingness to experimentalize. With a pedagogical approach focussing on identification and promotion of indivisual competencies instead of adressing deficits the "self-fullfilling prophecy" should be interrupted. In their daily life participants are often confronted with what they cannot or lack and therefore miss positive or empowering experiences. The learning opportuniy in black light theatre are diverse, easily accessible and therefore very motivating. a public presenation in the Czech Embassy in Berlin will support this motivational effect.
