Art of healthy lifestyle
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Nov 30, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

Modern societies very often don't pay enough attention to culture and health, especially when people need to struggle with political instability and economic problems. Our members and partners during work with youth have noticed a growing need among young people to be more active in this field and the answer to this request is our project. It is prepared together with associations from Romania and Lithuania, which also work in the field of culture among youth. The exchange will take place near Tarnów on 27.09-03.10.2014. There will be 33 participants (10 youth + leader per each group). The aim of the project is promoting participation in cultural life and familiarising with healthy lifestyle aspects. We want to learn the role of culture in our lives, learn about famous european arts and to have the possibility to express ourselves in an artistic way. During the project we will use various methods, mostly nonformal education methods. We will include sport and active, healthy lifestyle elements. Participants will show their presentations, work on promotion campaign, discuss with guests, debate, attend group workshops and exchange experiences. Working language will increase our english skills. Participants will receive appropriate tools to promote cultural and healthy attitudes in their local communities and to continue the actions and plans started during exchange. Thanks to the project the participants will understant that culture is the basis for our existence in modern world, that it is something valuable that differs but also connects. Participants will learn more about their health and strengthen positive attitudes. Thanks to spending a few days in an international team of peers they will familiarise with other cultures, break stereotypes, increase understading of other Europeans therefore becoming better and more satisfied european citizens.
