METHODOLOGY - ART will be the main tool of the project. We have chosen art because of its flexibility. Through art, which is an analogical media, ideas, feelings, perceptions can be communicated easier. What we point to is not to create beautiful artifacts but to stimulate our target group in the process of creation and motivate them to self-expression.
RESULTS AND IMPACTS - We expected:
- a personal/professional growth for the EVS Volunteer,
- a stronger motivation for the target group to participate and cooperate in the Hungarian community,
- an opportunity for Utilapu to be far more effective with the mentioned target group
- an increase of local people awareness about integration and migrants matters and a wider participation to volunteer activities and initiatives.
LONGER TERM RESULTS - As we aim to create links with others volunteer organization we point to have a network of connections among cultures and age groups which will bring to a sense of community where humanity is the main aspect that count instead of country of origin, religion and color of the skin. Our purpose is to settle a permanent learning, informative project afterwards "Art for development" which will keep constantly aware local people about volunteer world make feel the asylum seekers integrated in the society.
