Today, the cooperation in the Eurometropolis is perceived by the population as a political, vague and farfrom-their-daily-lives issue.To change this perception, the partners encourage meetings between residents from both sides of the border through sports, culture and tourism. Indeed, these three areas have a strong mobilisation potentialwhich allows residents to discover the cultural diversity of the Euro-metropolis.In addition, the project strengthens the cooperation between the partners through the organisation of cultural events and the exchange of experiences.The bicycle race will constitute the common thread of this project and is given a central role in the tourist and cultural activities. It also serves as a tool to encourage contacts between residents of both sides of the border.
