Arrangement of the Water Supply and Sewage Disposal in the Polish-Lithuanian Borderland
Start date: Sep 30, 2009, End date: Nov 29, 2011 PROJECT  FINISHED 

The project's aim is to improve the living conditions of two local communities in the borderline region. A water supply and sewage disposal system will be built. After the project is finished, local inhabitants of Baraginė village will be supplied with drinking water that meets all the norms of the European Union. The sewerage will be collected into a common network and treated to meet the required norms. All these undertakings will reduce the overall amount of pollution in the region. Expected Results: Within this project, two seminars on the condition of natural environment in Suwałki administrative commune area and in Marijampole municipality will be organised. In addition, 200 units of calendars for the year 2012 will be published and they will include the pictures of the most attractive natural territories of participating regions.
