Are you a human?
Start date: Jul 1, 2013,

Dictatorial system prohibits expressing vision in public. If somebody witness’s incidents where human rights are trampled and people are treated in a cruel manner, usually people will desire to undertake an action. But how can it be done in a dictatorial state? We are coming with a solution that can help to raise awareness about the absence of human rights. The activity will aim to tutor the target group how to attract society’s attention upon the simple principles of human rights. Photography, social theater, graffiti, drawings, songs, videos, whatever comes to their creative mind, our target group will tend to express theoretical concepts using their creative background. The overall goal of the project is to promote human rights concepts and raise public awareness of various forms of human rights ignorance in Caucasus and Europe. Through strengthening and supporting the capacity of young people, we intend to effectively advocate and implement human rights principles through arts. The project activity will take place during 8 days (7 nights) in August 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden and include 4 youngsters plus one leader from each group (in total 30 participants) from 5 partner countries: Sweden, Ukraine, Belarus, Belgium, Moldova. The project start date will actually be on the 1st July, 2013 (according to the new rules of NA).The project will involve young people with fewer opportunities (having social, economic, cultural obstacles, e.g. belonging to ethnic or sexual minority, that may lead to unemployment). During the project we are going to put on the map these kinds of obstacles and the basic human rights and try to find a solution for better opportunities for youngsters in their lives.
