Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

It can be seen that industrial tinkering has left its place to authorized services with each passing day when the automotive sector is analyzed. At this point, computer supported devices has took the place of workmen when troubleshooting cars and this changes the expectations of the firms that operates in this sector from their employees. When preparing this project, it’s been located that our graduated students could not meet the market’s needs due to fundamental deficiencies and they were forced to work nonskilled jobs away from their employment process. To be able to change this result, this project has been prepared by the consortium members to create regional solutions. The consortium members are Ereğli VTAHS, Konya VTAHS and Ereğli VTC. The main objectives of the project are our students to have European experience, develop their lingual skills and be able to develop vocational skills about computer based troubleshooting techniques in car systems in order to be able to create a difference in our region and country and by doing that contribute to the country’s development process. The general objectives of the project are below as mentioned in the project proposal: - Basic skills and qualifications to contribute strengthening social relations and the consistence of supply demand rate in market, - To strengthened cooperation between education and business, - To promote intercultural differences and multilingualism, - To help SME’s around our region to use engine test devices deliberatively, - To reduce employment issue related to this field. The project which was carried out by the consortium members Ereğli VTAHS, Konya VTAHS and Ereğli VTC, includes Roc Ter AA from Holland, SPŠE from Czech Republic and NCT AKADEMİA KFC from Hungary as hosting partners. It’s planned in this project that 10 students and an accompanying teacher from each member of the consortium will contribute in the mobility. 5 students from our applier institute Ereğli VTC have been included into the Hungary mobility due to lack of students who meets the criteria. They have attended to 2 weeks of trainings within our overseas partner. During these 2 weeks of training, our students have got practical trainings about computed troubleshooting techniques in car operating systems. Our students have developed their vocational skills in accordance with the objectives of the project and they are certificated by our hosting partners. Europass documents for the students have been prepared in accordance with the project proposal. Students have attended to cultural activities at weekends during the trainings. The cultural activities let them experience EU cultural life in accordance with the project’s cultural objectives. Students have got preparation training in English given by their English teachers and they have used English during their trainings and cultural activities. Thus, their lingual skills have been increased in accordance with the project objective. Their chance to get hired in industrial areas around our region has been increased through the vocation trainings. Students will be hired as qualified employees who can meet sector’s expectations and this will affect the opinion about vocational training students in the long term, it will help our regional and national development. A strong consortium has been established around our region with the project. The established consortium has been useful for our institutes as well as it have been to our students with its coordinated work. This project which was carried out with the cooperation between European Union member countries has left positive impacts on our objectives to increase staff qualifications and institutional development. It’s a sharing feeling that these impacts we have through our project on the point of establishing useful cooperation will bring positive effects in the middle and long term. In this context, new projects will be formed and carried out in order to continue our cooperation and increase educational quality around the region in the future.
