Arganil Group of Schools intends to improve the quality and efficiency of education and training, increase the success rates, update the pedagogies, promote equity, social cohesion and citizenship, innovation and make lifelong learning a reality. It aims to a more motivated teaching and non-teaching class to overcome the weaknesses inherent to the character of interiority of this group of schools and those listed in the European Development Plan and monitoring plan of the school by the General Inspection of Education and Science, bearing in mind that the students are the main beneficiaries.The project involves twenty one teachers (including the direction and the internal evaluation team) and two non teaching staff. After propagating the project, there was a pre-selection of teaching and non-teaching staff who showed interest in participating, given the profile of the participants, the objectives inherent to the project and the group of schools.All professionals are of definitive nomination to the group of schools. All staff have more than ten years of experience. They are dedicated professionals with a solid commitment to cooperate, motivated and excited about the opportunity to acquire new skills to use in the classroom that are stimulating and encouraging for students, and are eager to foster professional relationships with their European and national peers. Some are experienced in managing various projects. All activities, training courses/ structured study visit to schools / institutes & training seminars chosen are diversified and include specific workshops, school visits and classroom observation, participation in lectures and diverse experiences.All activities / content and objectives presented in the program of the selected courses are of great interest aiming at the development of pedagogies and practices; the acquirement and / or improvement of language skills and a professional and personal enrichment.It will be relevant to know people from other countries, other customs and cultures and to share with them different knowledge and experiences on teaching. The quality and the intercultural dimension of the training of the participants will be naturally strengthened, making them more tolerant and with a better sense of European citizenship.By applying more creative activities and innovative materials acquired in these courses in lessons, students will enjoy the lessons more; will be more motivated for learning and further education.It is expected in medium term, an improvement of ICT skills and their wider use in the classroom as well as increased proficiency in foreign languages, with particular emphasis on the English language.The project will enable staff to improve the achievement of the European Development Plan contributing to the enhancement of the European dimension of the group of schools.The dissemination of results and products of this project will be done through a blog to disseminate ideas, activities, materials and experiences; it will be published on the international projects page of the school's website, school television channel and newspaper, in the local media. Peer training workshops will also be carried out, open to staff of our group of schools and to schools / groups in the region in collaboration with the Training Centre based in our cluster of schools.The project evaluation will take into account questionnaires to students, teachers and non-teaching staff; analysis of educational success, early dropout rate, number of students who enrolled in scientific courses compared to current rates; analysis of the number of participants in the training workshops given by the beneficiaries of this project, the workshops evaluation questionnaires, the number and comments from visitors to the international projects page of the school website and TV channel, the blog, the eTwinning platform and contacts with other European educators and number of future partnerships with other European educators.The joint results will be analyzed in joint meetings between staff of the European Project, direction, pedagogical council, departments and other agents considered appropriate, and will be shared locally, regionally and internationally.
