The project APPLE is a group EVS project for young people with fewer opportunities taking place in Estonia. It is aimed at creating and supporting the international voluntary possibilities for YPWFO and the promotion of voluntary work in general. Further this project is initiated in order to: - provide the intercultural learning opportunities for young people - support social and cultural relations among Europeans,- identify and develop innovative voluntary possibilities for young people with fewer opportunities- transfer knowledge skills and experiences through voluntary actionsIn this way, the project also seeks to develop solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among people, thus contributing to reinforcing social cohesion also in the European Union and to promoting people's active citizenship. The project will last 3 weeks and during this time 6 volunteers will be hosted in Continuous Action. There will be 4 sending organizations involved; Inter Europa from Spain (2 volunteers), Pistes Solidares from France (also 2), Ushanga from Finland (1) and Cesis Adult Education centre from Latvia (also 1).The volunteers will work in Continuous Action to develop presentations about their own cultures and about voluntary work. During the project we will a.o. go and visit several local organisations where we will do a day of `local volunteering` as one of the learning methods and to gather materials for the presentations. We will use media as video and music but also crafts and storytelling. In the second part of the project we will also go and present our work to several (youth) organisations in Estonia to promote (local) voluntary work and ST EVS.
