In the context of promoting the goal of improving learning outcomes, and quality education, the school unit decided professional development of the teaching staff through seminars offered through Erasmus+. This way, teachers will acquire new knowledge and skills, both to enrich the learning process and also to provide a more engaging classroom environment for children.The school unit will have the opportunity to be informed about the new knowledge and ideas that members will have gained from their participation in these seminars, through staff meetings, workshops and / or working groups, depending on their personal interests and needs. Moreover, given the opportunity during the seminars, future partnerships will be formed, with European partners, either through eTwinning or, through the Key Action 2 of Erasmus+.Four teachers are expected to attend the seminars, those who have shown particular interest in participating in the program. Two of the four interested parties are General Education Teachers and the other two are Special Educators, as one of the main objectives of the school program is the successful cooperation of all teachers to improve learning outcomes and the maximum yield of the school unit. The staff going through the application process on behalf of school organisation, has experience with European programs, both through training seminars, and Erasmus+ School Partnerships or eTwinning.All procedures and activities are under the supervision of the director and the assembly of teachers are informed through weekly staff meetings. After taking into consideration the objectives of the school unit, appropriate seminars were selected. Furthermore, for all the provisions were made for full transparency.Teachers are expected to gain new knowledge and skills on issues related to the integration and acceptance of children with special needs throughout the school unit, to familiarize with new methods and technologies related to the education of children with special needs and on the involvement of children's parents with special needs in the initial assessment and the learning process. Also, they are expected to gain new knowledge and skills on the differentiation of work in mixed ability classes, practices and children with disabilities education methods, from various European educational systems that can adapt to our educational context, the integration of new technologies in the learning process and to familiarize with web program 2.0. Moreover, they are expected to share practices of encouraging student initiative development in learning, experiences, practices and methodologies related to collaborative learning, the development of creative thinking through technology, to engage in productive use of a tablet in the learning process etc.All the above, will be used by each teacher individually, depending on the needs of each student. Additionally, the three-year action plan which the school unit has already compiled will be enhanced with activities and practices that have emerged from these seminars.
