Analysis of the useful water stock of Fehér-Körös on the Hungarian and Romanian water catchment area

The project set the objective of analysing the single water catchment area of Fehér-Körös in a complex approach, jointly focusing on Hungarian and Romanian requirements and opportunities. The Live Water Channel is the 39 km long main channel of the 623.0 km2 water catchment area on the left side of Fehér- and Kettos-Körös. It has natural water stocks only during inland water periods. Most of the Live Water Channel was established in the dead branch of Fehér–Körös as a mirror counterpart of the Mill Channel in Romania. The support facilitated the development of these establishments co-ordinated with the mitigation of the damages caused by economic activities for the purpose of preserving the natural values.
