an Orchestra Network for Europe - ONE® is more
Start date: Jul 1, 2015, End date: Mar 31, 2019 PROJECT  FINISHED

Focusing on addressing the specific issues of the classical music sector, ONE® – An Orchestra Network for Europe has designed a new cooperation project to set more intercultural dialogue in motion and extend artistic reach across borders. From July 2015 to March 2019, in line with the objectives and priorities of the Creative Europe programme, ONE® is more will implement a larger scale cooperation project where, in keeping with its eponymous name, classical music opens up to digital technologies, interacts with visual arts and graphic design to support the intangible heritage of tomorrow. A larger network of eight partners including seven classical symphony orchestras and one university for the creative arts will develop more innovative and interdisciplinary classical music experiences for larger audiences across Europe: Orchestre de Picardie (FR), Jenaer Philharmonie (DE), Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina (SK), Filharmonia Śląska im. Henryka Mikołaja Góreckiego (PL), RTV Slovenija Symphony Orchestra (SI), Filharmonie Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic (CZ), New Symphony Orchestra (BG) and the University for the Creative Arts (UK). For the implementation of 39 main activities of the project the partners will rely on the contribution of 22 associated organisations from European countries and 2 third countries (China – Mexico). This comprehensive project aims more specifically at providing long-term responses to offer more sustainable pre-professional and lifelong music training, diversify the concert format and increase the visibility of the classical music sector. In addition to the best practices in terms of transnational artist mobility, circulation of repertoire and support to career development, ONE® is more will put special emphasis on pre-professional training, research and development, innovative approaches to audiences, interactive communication tools, advocacy and assessment of the project results.
