Our Organization-Associated school dormitory in Vranov nad Topľou is a State educational institution dedicated to education and the education of children with intellectual disabilities of varying degrees. We provide education to pupils, most of whom suffer from 185 in addition to mental disability and other associated disabilities, such as. physical, Visual, hearing disability, or suffer from diseases such as. epilepsy, diabetes. These children are children coming from marginalised Roma communities, a social disadvantaged environment (LDCS). Living in poor areas in the settlements in our town and its surroundings. Do not have a sufficient incentive for your personal and educational development of family background. We register the absence of basic hygienic habits, a low level of skills, as well as ways to conduct the check. Working with these children is extremely difficult and teachers working with them must be professionally on a high level with sufficient experience and a sense of empathy. It is extremely important for the teacher as well as a sense of belonging among themselves, which contributes to a sense that not only in our country working with this target group is challenging. The goal of our project, therefore, is: "to increase the competence of teachers in the field of education and training of mentally handicapped children from marginalised Roma communities through short-term international mobility."The participants of the project are the employees – 37 teachers teaching in our school. The main activity of the project is the realization of 2 short-term foreign mobilities for teachers working with children from marginalised Roma communities. 1. mobility in France (Germany, Switzerland) 2. Turnround – foreign internship in Italy, CASA DEI BAMBINI MONTESSORI school-partner via di Ponte Salario, 00199 Roma 140 Mobilities will prevent e-mail communication between our teachers and teachers from partner schools, in order to familiarize themselves with each other and exchange their experience of working with the target group of vulnerable children riešenou. After graduating from both the mobility of participants develop materials, within which to implement the acquired knowledge and skills of observation. All the important information on the use of "methods of Montessori education" and the other we will include in our pedagogical materials (lesson plans, curriculum). These will be used not only for our internal use, but then we present and expand to other affected schools. For the successful implementation of the project will be drawn up by the project team (Project Manager, financial manager, accountant). Each Member shall have exactly defined competence, duties and responsibilities, work will be coordinated together. He creates a Logistical plan for practical training and the main activities of the project with fixed security points. Participation in foreign mobilities, we expect from teachers improvement in potential for: • application of the Montessori method in the teaching process • the application of innovative methods in the development of teaching programmes for LDSC families, • the development of creativity and the use of creative techniques in education • the development of multiculturalism, • application of the methods and forms of work in the classroom, which lead to a reduction of adverse environmental impacts (particularly domestic) for children of LDCS in the context of a reduction in the number of lost hours, early school leaving, substance abuse, early and unwanted pregnancy, drinking, etc.. Target groups (children LDCS): awareness of the uniqueness of their own pupils-of children, through the improvement of their performance in school, • increase self-confidence, which will lead to asertívnejšiemu behavior with respect to the negative impact of the surroundings, • increase in the sense of the importance of and the need for the development of the society in which they live, • increase feeling appropriate to change gradually the conditions of life in your community. By increasing the competences of teachers in the field of application of alternative methods and forms of education and chosen appropriate access to education, improve the results of the work with the target group of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in the long term. As a result of changes to the approach in the teaching of children will be against teachers basis trustable and formable, the more you will realize yourself and your choices to make. This will lead to neutrality, resistance to the surroundings in which they live and to gradually reduce the consequences of an immediate negative impact to the surrounding area.
