                         Our project is centered on the fight against poverty, social exclusion and protection of youth.  It aims to give young Europeans interested in the assistance to children, teenagers and young adult the opportunity to do a social action towards them.  They will, through the discovery and learning of social skills, have some professional and cultural chances while bringing awareness to the people they act on of cultural and linguistic diversity and European mobility.
The project is made of 4 activities for a single volunteer, in four associations working for youth protection and fight against exclusion in the Limousin region (cities of Limoges and Brive-La-Gaillarde). The length varies from 3 to 12 months. We are looking for volunteers between the age of 23 and 29 years old, engaged or interested in social work and assistance to young people in need. The main qualities required will be patience, open-mindedness et be able to show authority traits to interact with the people concerned.
Activites offered by this project are:
-2 foster homes welcoming youngster in high social difficulties, such as lone minors or illegal minor residents. The home offers a family type lifestyle to the youngsters, as they are staying in a house hold by a couple and a team of educators. The volunteer will participate to the everyday life activities of the house, elaborate projects with the youngsters, and organize outdoor activities with the team of educators.
-a foster center for youngsters facing social or familial difficulties, being sent by the justice system. This activity aims to help the youngster during his stay in the center to rebuild himself socially and find balance in his personal, familial, school and/or professional life. The volunteer will participate to the life of the center with the team of educators et will be encouraged to make his own projects to be realized with the youngsters.
-an association where all the aspects of youth and teenage protection are being addressed through different services. The volunteer will participate to each service before choosing the one he is the most in line with his personal project. Services are centered on helping youngsters and family facing social difficulties, with actions directly at the family place, a long-term follow of the youngster, activities outside of the home, family reunion, etc.
The volunteer will be assisted during the entirety of his project by a tutor in the host and the coordinating organization. He will participate to the staff meetings so he can fully experience how each structure works. 
Apart from the opportunity for the volunteer to acquire new skills and knowledge in the field of social work and assistance to youth, this project will be a chance to make the local population face a different culture and be exposed to a positive and participative European reality. This project will bring awareness to the locals of European mobility and opening of mind toward one who is different yet so familiar. The youngsters who will be accompanied by the volunteer will be offered a real window on the outside, which is an essential point in the fight against exclusion. On the long term, this will allow to develop the awareness of belonging to the European space and the meaning of European citizenship.
