All Equal - All Unique
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

60 young people aged from about 15 to 20 coming from Austria and countries from South East Europe (Slovenia, Hungary, Albania, Romania, Kosovo and Montenegro) will meet in Montenegro from 27th Mai to 3rd of June. The main goal of this youth meeting will be to get to know each other, to learn about living in other countries and about the different cultures and ways of life. The participants will come from very different cultural, social and geografical background and also from countries where the wars in recent history still influence the contact to other nations and ethnics. At the beginning various methods of team building, including outdoor activities in orienteering will help to get in contact. With presentations of the different groups and workshops assisted by experienced coaches the participants will learn what are the things they have in common and what are the differences in history, culture, daily life in school, family or friendship. Thus they will learn to accept each other as equal, get mutual understanding and a deeper knowledge of living in different countries, but also of the problems they are facing. On the last days to obtain a longer lasting impact and prepare dissemination, the participants will work in small groups, each group composed of members of the different countries and also gender balanced. Each group will choose a different way of documentation as e.g. computer presentation, film, photos, social media, booklet. These results will be presented at the end of the meeting but also later in the partner countries, in the media, in regional presentations and also in the internet. A longer lasting goal is also to work out ways to stay in contact and continue with further cooperation. As the participants come from very different social background, this will help to support the development of participants of disadvantaged background to find their way in life. Others may learn to be satisfied with their life in comparably wealthy conditions. Each participant will receive a Youth pass certificate with the content of the workshops and the skills obtained as well as the individual contribution, to add to the personal CV.
