Within the ?Active Young People for Health and Welfare? project to be held in the town of Gotse Delchev, Bulgaria, between 28.08.2015-06.09.2015, there will be a youth exchange involving 50 youths from Bulgaria and Greece. The main aim of the project is, through the use of informal education methods, the participants to acquire knowledge and skills related to healthy lifestyle by practicing outdoor activities and sports and to be encouraged to master new skills in fields they are interested in as an alternative to and means to cope with computer addiction. The youngsters will take part in activities tearing them away from computer addiction and a number of various informal educational modules will be held emphasizing on working outdoors, promoting love for nature and enhancing personal and social contacts based on a multicultural dialogue. Different informal education methods will be used focusing on practical and theoretical activities like presentations, discussions, teamwork, individual tasks, role playing games, outdoor team activities, intercultural activities, etc. The project participants will develop key competences such as knowledge acquisition, language, cultural, social, motor and digital skills. The activities performed during the project will have positive and long-term effects on the participants. The efficiency of studying will be increased by increasing the youths? interest in activities directly related to their aspirations and concerns and their creativity, confidence in their own abilities and self-assurance will also develop. The identification of the problem and the ways to cope with that new trend in young people to become addicted to computer games will have the desired effect at a local, regional and national levels and a new European dimension to social life will be added by encouraging youth cooperation. The project will be developed with the subsequent on-site activities. This will result in upgrading and attracting new supporters of the idea.
