Ako postaviť dom bez peňazí
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Nov 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the summer of 2015, a project "How to build a house without money" was organised, which aimed to bring together young people from EU countries for a short stay in our eco-village, through their group to help build a house made of natural materials, and thus raised the possibility that Young people with limited financial capabilities are able to build a house on their own. Another objective was to observe the clay as a natural building material through construction of an Indian sauna made of clay. These activities encouraged volunteers in getting their knowledge of the natural life and a sustainable way of life, and natural engineering. The project was attended by 12 volunteers over 18 years, regardless of their professional experience or skills with an interest in natural engineering. The main activities included: lecture on how to build yourself a low-cost house from natural materials and dynamic demonstration of technologies, building an Indian sauna from mud bricks, preparing earthen plasters and modeling the clay oven, decoration of the final earthen plaster sculptures of clay, green roofs etc. The project result is an Indian sauna built of mud bricks and natural materials. Through participation in the project volunteers gained theoretical knowledge, practical skills and experience in the field of natural engineering and experience of community way of life. Through the activities they acquired space for the observation and exploration of natural materials. The participation of young people in the project from different cultures has enriched the local eco-village and local neighbors, and has developed new contacts and expansion of horizons. Long-term benefit of the project is perceived as increasing public awareness of the common community help, natural engineering work and behavior of natural materials.
