AGORA' 2000- Electronic commerce - telework- telecontrol

The pilot project Agora' 2000will identify the training needs of SMEs, authorities and training organisations in the telematic and multimedia sector in relation to Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The project plans to develop training paths for new professional needs in web design, electronic commerce, telework and telecontrol for which no institutional training yet exists. This will be done through a combination of software products to conduct sales over the Internet and help increase the potential and extension of ICT in the sales market of manufacturing goods and services. The project will target mainly young graduates and young people in initial vocational training, workers in continuing vocational training and trainers in institutions, universities and SMEs specialising in these areas. The partners in this project will prepare the training paths and their contents, set up the partner sites and e-commerce software project, produce the contents of the training package and optimise the training product, activate the partners' web sites and encourage specific e-commerce activities. The final product will consist of a multimedia and interactive CD-ROM containing a training package in eight teaching modules, with an abridged version on the Internet. The training package contains a combination of software products for use in electronic commerce, including a handbook and leaflets.
