Agir en réciprocité pour une ouverture sur l'Europe
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Mindful of the real added value of European mobility brings youth, workers, students and the wider European citizens by the rich exchange and transfer of good practices that can be achieved on this occasion, members of the association PAUSE in France, in connection with the Municipality of Luleå in Sweden, want to increase the intercultural richness by the welcoming of the European Voluntary. The project aims at welcoming and at sending at the same time two Young European Volunteers, one in France and one in Sweden, for four months (October 2016-February 2017).Having organized alternately three sending and hosting EVS both side, the innovation of this project lives in the choice to experiment the parallel presence of two EVS over the same period and to assure a functional link between both volunteers. Both partner municipalities reached agreements of twinning on August 2011 and develop since exchanges between citizens. Among the major projects, the one welcoming EVS in reciprocity establishes a priority in order to favor a better integration between both French-Swedish communities. Both organizations, PAUSE association in France and the municipality of Luleå in Sweden, intend to work in a better European awareness with young and less young resident of the Municipality and the nearby municipalities. By actions of intercultural opening with other countries of Europe and the other European cultures, the partners wish to welcome young European volunteers to reinforce the development of new intercultural activities between both partner municipalities in Sweden and France. The EVS will bring their traditions, their cultural differences and their personal skills in the activities of cultural and leisure activities realized with the children from 3 to 18 years old of the two municipalities. They will also facilitate the development of new activities between the local actors of the twinning municipalities (with the participation of schools, local associations, and exchange between citizens). They will contribute to the development of new actions with which some will be concentrated on the life long learning issues of the young people and the seniors of the partner municipalities.
