The first stage of the project has already been implemented, which involved going through thefilm archives in Russia and selecting, cleaning and digitally saving interesting news anddocumentary films on the programme area. The second stage would involve concrete utilisationof the films for purposes such as making up a DVD library collection from which people couldborrow items. The organisations acting as partners in the project have negotiated user rights onthe material while other interested instances have to contact Russian production companies foracquiring such rights.
