Activation, capability and empowerment: intervention model for training defined through social and institutional dialogue at multilateral level.

The project (acronym TrACE: TRaining for Activation, Cabability and Empowerment) is aimed at creating a European network of institutional bodies, unions and management working in partnership with the common goal of defining and activating innovative education policies being able to respond to the current economic and employment crises. The partnership is aimed at tackling the issue of vocational education and training from an innovative lifelong learning perspective. The project fosters the activation of a permanent discussion and negotiation forum for the analysis and the exchange of experiences, following the peer reviewing principle. The objective is the definition of a common reference Model of education and training policies aimed at improving employment opportunities. This Model will be later adopted on a common ground to implement common strategies to increase the workers’ interest towards educational opportunities. Interest will be increased thanks to the introduction of the conditionality element in accessing education and training opportunities. Increased conditionality means better activation and capability of workers. In this framework, the testing of a new learning and action-taking methodology by all the network members involved is crucial. Therefore, from a more quantitative point of view, the project is expected to promote pilot models, evaluate their outcomes and disseminate them at European level.
