Activating the Inactive Young Volunteer

Activating the Inactive young Volunteer will be a 7 day training course for international youth workers which support them in developing the skills to recruit, train and manage young people as volunteers within their own organizations; and to support those volunteers in developing their creative and entrepreneurial skills. The training will focus on volunteers from all social and cultural backgrounds within the participants own target groups, including those with fewer opportunities; and on using the European Voluntary Service (EVS) as a mechanism for hosting volunteers within their own organizations as well as a way of sending young people to work in organizations in other parts of Europe. The training course will last for seven days and will take place in Struga, Macedonia. Working with a trainers from the Netherlands and Macedonia, participants from 12 program & partner countries, will learn from a range of techniques of non-formal learning and peer education including verbal and visual presentations, small group discussions, plenary debates, game playing, role play, study visits and cultural presentations. to have a good working knowledge of the Youth in Action Programme and to develop new projects together.
