The project “ACTivate your soft skills” focuses on soft skills, which are widely applied within and outside the workplace and are very important for entrepreneurship, personal and professional development. Its aim is to outline the importance of soft skills nowadays, especially within the labour market, and to develop them in the participants’ personality. To achieve this and to approach the subject, theatre (drama activities) is going to be used as a non-formal learning tool.Specifically, the project is going to focus on six very important soft skills, which are:- Entrepreneurship and Initiative taking- Learning to Learn- Teamworking- Intercultural Learning and Expression- Conflict Management and Negotiating- Critical Thinking Given these facts, the objectives of the youth exchange are:• To acquaint participants with the most important soft skills and to outline their importance in job market and social life• To help them develop these skills in the personalities of participants and to improve their job profile, their employability and their entrepreneurial virtues• To develop self-confidence, creative and critical thinking through experiential situations and activities • To include young people with fewer opportunities and foster their active participation • To attract the interest and participation of local society and region in the implementation and dissemination of the project • To outline the value not only of acquiring competences and skills, but also of validating them through recognized validation tools and to acquaint them with existing tools, like Youthpass. • To inform about the program Erasmus+ and the chances it offers, as well as for the importance of non-formal and informal learning in education and lifelong learning.On fulfilling these objectives, it is expected that the youth exchange will have multiple benefits for participants, who are going to upgrade to a great extent their job profile and the ability to get a job in competitive environments. At the same time their self-confidence and critical thinking will be reinforced, they will accept different people and cultures and they will acquire some knowledge concerning important skills in theatre and artistic expression. The impact on local and European level will be also very important, through many efforts that are going to take place to include the local society in the project and to disseminate the results on international level. The youth exchange will be realized in the town of Giannitsa in Greece and 32 young people aged 18-30 years, together with their group leaders, will participate from 7 countries of Europe (Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Latvia and Greece).
