Following the Acting European project, which aimed to promote volunteering as a manifestation of European citizenship and to develop a tool to support it, by strengthening the NGO environment from Bacau and Neamt counties, has been identified the need for continuous development of youth workers involved in promoting European citizenship, but also the sharing of best practices at international level in order to ensure the sustainable impact of the project. Through this project we primarily wish to promote at European level the best practices developed in the first edition of the project and especially to continue strengthening the sustainable partnership between NGOs, not only at local level but internationally through: Promoting European citizenship and the associated principles for the development of a responsible and active society at decisional level. Sharing of best practices at international level between youth workers involved in the field of the European citizenship and development of a sustainable partnership for promoting the European citizenship. Developing the capacity of youth workers to draw up and implement a strategy for promoting active European citizenship together with decision makers. Promoting EU principles among youth workers and assuming the role of European citizen by them. The project objectives and the planned activities meet the needs of the local communities of all partners, and the project topics as: European citizenship (awareness, assuming, principles, rights and responsibilities), strengthening the dialogue with decision makers (development of youth workers capacity to facilitate participation of decision makers in the youth projects) and youth activities (active participation of young people, youth policies, youth workers development) are closely related to the needs and problems identified. The needs and problems that the project answers have been identified at the level of : youth workers, young people of the local communities, community and the partner organizations. The main activity of the project is the training "How to Act European?", which will run from 27.10 - 11.04.2014 in Slănic Moldova (Romania), with the participation of 24 youth workers from Romania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Italy, Turkey, Croatia and Slovenia. Within the project non-formal education methods will be used, wich enable sharing and networking between youth workers, focusing on cooperative learning, learning through experience, intercommunication methods, simulations, team work, active learning methods, assessment methods, debates, creative methods, socio-educational animation, learning by doing, peer to peer learning system among participants, Photovoice, exhibition, videovoice, Open Space, flashmob, but also a number of classical methods such as: analysis, design methods, facilitated discussions, presentations, etc. Outcomes of the project will be: a guide of best practices (a handbook for drawing up local strategies in the field of European Citizenship together with the decision makers), 3 spots and photos promoting European citizenship, three drafts of strategies promoting European citizenship locally to be developed and adapted to the needs of local communities, a total of 24 youth workers who have developed the ability to prepare and implement a strategy in the field of active European citizenship together with the decision makers and a sustainable partnership with partner organizations. The impact on the participants will be seen in the personal and professional development as they will develop and refine an important series of skills and attitudes that they will exploit in the activities of promoting European citizenship, so the impact will primarily consist in an increased quality of the youth workers projects. Regarding long-term results we expect to strengthening the NGOs - authorities partnership, increasing the number of projects promoting European citizenship which brings together young people and decision makers, and not the least development of European consciousness among young people and assuming the roles of European citizens involved in solving community problems.
