ACİL TIP TAKNİSYENLİĞİ ALANINDA AVRUPA BİRLİĞİ UYGULAMALARI
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Improving the provided quality of services in a hospital’s emergency rooms, especially for immediate response to urgent health problems, is closely related to how good the medical technicians working in the units knows his/her job. It is imposible for the medical technicians working in emergency services, command and control center and emergency stations to contribute to the health system. Emergency medical tehcnicians must have sufficent knowledge and skills for this system to work. Emergency medical technicians generally work in public and private hospitals and clinics. The possibility of finding a job depends on the ability and knowledge regardless of gender in both public and private sector. People get these knowledge and information from our training schools and their internship experiences. Our teachers are very behind of the current technological infrastructure with their knowledge and training. Likewise, the infrastructure in our vocational schools is very poor. Our teachers have remained quite foreign to the educational program in the field of European standarts ATT. Emerging European health sector has also brought an innovative training in vocational schools in the ATT. Our students are having some issues about finding a job after graduation. For example, they can not communicate with a foreign patient. They are having trouble about foreign languages. We aim to solve this problem in our vocational schools with this project. Participants will get the required compentences through the training that they are going to get in modern classrooms and training hospitals. Participants will learn about how to approach in sick, injured people and their close ones in this program. Besides, they will find the chance to increase their field experience. Participants will gaing competence in providing immediate assistance to the sick and wounded people on the field. They will develop their communication skills during the activity in the health care facilities in Europe. They will easily communicate with foreign patients. Thus, they will be able to contribute to the reduction of the negativity that may occur in the health field. This is a consortium project formed by Eskişehir Seyitgazi MTAL and includes İstanbul Kartal Yakacık Yüksel İlhan Alanyalı MTAL and Osmaniye Bahçe Gevher MTAL. The project covers 12-month period between 06 July 2015 – 07 July 2016.
