This is a school in Cáceres, Extremadura. We have 18 teachers who work with 180 students in preschool and primary school. We have a bilingual section from third year to sixth year in the primary school, where students study science and art in English. We also have a specialized autism classroom for the students on the autism spectrum who attend our school. After our staff meetings and analysis carried out over the 2015-2016 school year, we've identified some areas where we'd like to improve. We've set the following objectives for our progress:1.- Orientating our curriculum toward a more European perspective.2.- Cultivating independent European citizens capable of managing in a multicultural and multilingual society.3.- Improving the management and organization of the school by following a more European model.4.- Broadening the English language skills of the personnel involved in the project's development.5.- Increasing the possibility of coordinating an Erasmus+ K2 action project.6.- Adding new knowledge and experiences to the skill base of the teaching staff involved. In order to achieve these goals, we consider the training of our teaching staff essential. This training can be carried out through various means, but we couldn't overlook the possibility of sharing our experiences and concerns with teachers and staff of other European schools. That is why we decided to apply for training through the Erasmus+ KA1 action programs. The most adequate people to participate in the trainings are Isabel Agúndez and María José Prieto, the only staff members with a CFER C1 level of English. Isabel Agúndez is the school principal and therefore the most suitable person to implement plans to realize the objectives listed above. María José Prieto was coordinator of a Comenius project at the school and, as such, has experience with these types of projects. On the basis of our needs and objectives, the activities we'd like to implement are:1.-Prior to the development of the course: a) Personal training: complete an INAP business English course at the C1 level, focusing on international relations among institutions.b) Compilation of information about other European educational systems, and more in-depth information about those of the host countries.2.- Completion of two training courses: 'School development, quality evaluation and enhancement' oriented towards the improvement of the school's internal evaluation and the quality of the teaching offered. 'European project management and design for teachers, headmasters and educators' fo6.- Adding new knowledge and experiences to the skill base of the teaching staff involved. In order to achieve these goals, we consider the training of our teaching staff essential. 'European project management and design for teachers, headmasters and educators' for the development of high-quality European projects.3.- Subsequent activities: a) Sharing the acquired skills, abilities and knowledge with the rest of the school staff. b) Dissemination of materials compiled during the training, not only within our school, but outside it.c) Creation of a working group to design an Erasmus + KA2 project. d) Implementation of upgrades in the internal evaluation at the school in order to enhance the quality of learning and teaching and to set up a more European approach.Once each of the mentioned phases are carried out, our school would finally be involved as a main coordinator in the realization of an Erasmus + KA2 project during the period 2018-2020, with all of the benefits this would bring to the school, the community, and most importantly, the improvement of all aspects of education in our institution.
