Acción formativa europa del profesorado del CEIP Domingo Miras fase 1

The basis of our project focuses on giving a definitive boost to the bilingual project in English, which has been running in our Centre for 6 years, to make it stand out in terms of quality, other projects of centres of the town. For this purpose, we need teachers of the Centre involved and improve their training. We estimate that in a first phase may involve 9 teachers, which is a 30 % from the total of our teachers staff. The profile of this faculty is: teachers specialists in English language, Primary and Pre-Primary teachers, with a level of linguistic competence in English that goes from the A2 to C1, and a range of age between 27 and 45 years. Activities that would integrate the project would be these 4 actions:
1. language training for teachers with low language linguistic level.
2. language training for English teachers, who want to expand and improve their linguistic skills.
3 training on new methodological trends for the teaching of DNLs: CLIL methodology.
4. observation of good practices in the stage of Pre-Primary education. Literacy learning.
5. observation of good practice in English-speaking schools. Treatment of attention to School organization, diversity, integration of new technologies in the classroom, curriculum of the country.
The methodology that we use will be mainly through new technologies. We will make a blog that centralize the project, participants will use the eTwinning platform to publicize their needs and their work in the classroom. And we will try to involve the School educational community at the project, not only at the informational level, but also as final beneficiaries of European programmes, through lectures, open days, surveys via the internet.
The results that we hope are the implementation in the classroom of new methodological trends, that contribute to new ideas and new practices, enabling the student to improve their skills. This is a great novelty for our School, which is not only the teachers of languages which are involved in a European project, but extends also to the staff of Primary and Pre-Primary. This fact will facilitate the achievement of the challenge of the school, which is the improvement of linguistic competence in students of English language.
Also, we'd like to reach a strong impact at the local level, improving enrolment of students in the School.
Finally point out that the main benefit that we seek is for students. We have already indicated, that due to the high rate of unemployment in the town, the school is the only contact they have with the foreign language for many students. Established links with other European schools, through the jobshadowing would facilitate joint activities, and the Association for the realization of a future project KA2.
