Background information:The institution (Nagyrédei Szent Imre Általános Iskola és Alapfokú Művészeti Iskola) places emphasis on the education of art, foreign language, sport, and as an eco-school, on the development of environmental awareness of its students. As a consequence, the institution organises several programmes in these areas, and its students can also take part in competitions and other similar programmes organised by different institutions. However, the institution does not have any international strategic partnerships.Objectives of this project:The short-term objective of this project is to develop the foreign language and professional competences, the social, cultural, problem-solving and co-operative skills of the colleagues taking part in this project.Using the acquired foreign language competences and skills, the long-term objective of this project is to establish international strategic partnerships through the school's ecological profile that can contribute to the development of the institution and can make it more attractive and popular for the students and residents of the cities, towns and villages nearby.Number and profile of participants:Four teachers would like to take part in this project who are highly committed to their own professional work and to the establishment of international partnerships.Ildikó Csabáné Ivony, English teacher and project co-ordinator, is responsible for the whole co-ordination of this project, as well as for contacts with the other institutions involved in this project both in Hungarian and in English language. She is going to take part in the course 'Language and Methodology for Teachers of English' organised by Anglolang Academy of English in Scarborough, the UK. Course date: 01 August 2016.Andrea Bogdánné Mátrai Andrea, teacher of Physics, Mathematics, and Information and Communication Technology is responsible for the IT activities (for example, creating blogs and websites) during the realization of the whole project. Furthermore, establishing international relationships, she will be responsible for ensuring the electronic contacts and communication of the students taking part in the KA2 project. She is going to take part in the course 'Intensive English Language Training' organised by Anglolang Academy of English in Scarborough, the UK. Course date:14 November 2016.György Paulik, primary school teacher is the representative person of the junior section of the institution. Using his developed English language knowledge, his aim is to become able to help students with their English homework and tasks in the afternoon study circles. He is highly committed to the development of the ecological profile of the institution and to the support of international partnerships. He is going to take part in the course 'Intensive English Language Training' organised by Anglolang Academy of English in Scarborough, the UK. Course date: 24 October 2016. Szabolcs Zödös is a Biology teacher and the teacher of Environmental Studies. His aim is to develop the ecological school profile through the establishment of international strategic partnership. He is going to take part in the course 'Intensive English Language Training' organised by Anglolang Academy of English in Scarborough, the UK. Course date: 10 October 2016. Description of the activities:In the preparation phase the participants take part in pre-determined project meetings in which they discuss the practical and logistic tasks of the project. Furthermore, they also start the foreign language, professional, social and cultural preparation for their trainings on a regular basis, according to their pre-determined project schedule.In the main phase of the project, the participants take part in their courses and during the course, they prepare an electronic daily report on their professional development.After the courses the next tasks are to evaluate the project and publish the results to a great target audience.Expected results and effects:The expected results of the project are that the participants' foreign language and professional competences, social, cultural, co-operative and problem-solving skills will develop. The long-term effect is that the participants, using their developed English language knowledge, will be able to establish international strategic partnerships and as a result, it will ensure the development of the institution and will make it more attractive and popular.
