A chance for a better living in rural areas (CHANCE)

The EVS project consist of 4 EVS activities, 2 taking place in Pécs Hungary, and 2 in Tanga, Tanzania. The aim of the activities is the following: raising the awareness of young people and local communities on the importance of agriculture (ecological gardening), self-sufficiency and cultural differences. The activities would last 1 month each, and 10 Hungarian -10 Tanzánián volunteers taking part in each activity. In total 20 volunteers would be involved in the project.The Tanzánián volunteers in Hungary would work in a modell farm, where they would work with animals and in the garden, they would learn how to make food for themselves, like goat cheese, jam, pasta, etc. Also would work with groups visiting the farm that consist of Hungarian kids and young people, and would learn about Hungarian culture, and European values, and environmental protection.The Hungarian volunteers in Tanzania, first would come to work together with the Tanzánián volunteers, and after learning about their cuture, they would go to Tanzania and help the centre to raise the awareness of local people on the fact that they can also produce food for themselves and that they can do it on än ecological way.This project would apply intercultural learning, and learning by doing methods and also would raise the self-efficiency of the young people that would result in better possibilities in their future lives.
