In the Almadenes and Cañaveros nature reserves of Murcia, biodiversity is seriously threatened by invasive alien species (IAS): Opuntia maxima, Washingtonia filifera, Eucaliptus camadulensis, Roninia pseudoacacia, Phoenix canariensis , Arundo donax among others.
