4D - dream, discover, do & dare

‘4D: dream, discover, do & dare’ is a youth Exchange meant for youngsters with and without special needs It involves youngsters from France, Denmark and Italy from 14 to 19 years old. The first days of the youth exchange will be dedicated to build up the team spirit and to involve participants who didn’t take part in ‘3D’: we will dedicate some time to make sure everybody feels at ease and enjoys a positive and constructive atmosphere. We will then start to use two basic tools: theatre of oppressed and the cards game ‘Tell me your story’ which are complementary tools in order to focus on some aspects or personal and social life of participants (‘Tell me your story’) and to share it in small and large groups to create theatre settings. Theatre of oppressed is thought to express, share and call to action participants on special issues which will be identified day by day during the youth exchange and have to do basically with everyday life of youngsters in Europe and how to actively be citizens facing it. Being the theme of the YE ‘equal co-existence’, topics addressed will have to do with living together, with special needs of people with disabilities, discrimination etc, we expect the forum-theater to be the tool which will enable youngsters to identify creative way to overcome the status-quo and find unforeseen solutions.The fourth dimension introduced with the project ‘dare’ means that we would like the group to be able to share also beyond the limits of the YE the results of the experience: it will be up to them to realize how to spread what they have been experienced and found out during the YE: it may be a video, a flash mob or a public representation of one of their theatre exercises.Participants will be involved in every stage of the project. Evaluation will be taken care of daily tank to National daily meeting and personal ‘learning diaries’ participants will write. A special focus on Youthpass and competences will be ensured so to empower at most the learning experience that 4D aims to being.
