During the project "350 Days for Climate", 2 young people from Latvia will go to carry out their European Voluntary Service in New Zealand. They will spend 12 months, doing voluntary work for and together with a local NGO "350 Aotearoa", contributing to global climate change mitigation and local climate change solutions and movement. Main topics of the project are climate change and youth information and communications.Main projects and activities the volunteers will engage are: 1) local bike and cycling project 2) building and strengthening local 350 community groups 3) helping with office and communication work as well as 4) giving different presentations on climate, intercultural and EU topics for young audiences 5) taking part in building partnerships and networking activities. An essential part of the project is going to be an internet blog "350 Days for Climate", where volunteers, starting from the very beginning, will post 1 climate change related photo and fact/piece of information a day, thus ensuring dynamic and interesting information flow for almost a year. This blog as well as other activities and results of the project will be communicated via project partners' websites, social media and other channels, that way ensuring that information about the project reaches wider audiences.Dissemination and exploitation of results, as well as the follow up stage will be an essential part of the project, using internet, traditional and social media as well as public presentations and spoken word to pass on the experience of the volunteers and build future projects around the topics of climate change and youth information.
