Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Mar 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The ‚2nd European Youth Conference: Strengthening the Recognition of Non-Formal Education in European Youth Work’ is a follow-up of the ‚1st European Youth Conference: Strenghtening the Recognition of Non-Formal Eduation and Youth Work’, which took place in March 2013 in Cracow. One outcome of this Conference was the lack of a platform for Euroepan Youth Workers to share best practice examples and tools about the Recognition of Non-Formal Education in European Youth Work. The objectives of the 2nd Youth Conference are: - to exchange and to develop common tools, instruments and strategies to increase the transparency and quality of youth work and non-formal education - to facilitate the communication between involved stakeholders - to foster the transfer of knowledge within the EU-28, EFTA and pre-accession countries The activities are based on principles and practice of non-formal learning including various activities as Open Space methods (f.ex. barcamp), lectures and inputs, exercises, which are creating situations for deeper personal reflection, followed by concentrated debriefing, work in small mixed groups, presentations and discussion of results, meetings, workshops, free time activities and intercultural activities. The methods are based on a learning process and stimulating creativity, active participation and initiative. The project will connect the involved partners by finding synergy-effects and has as a main goal in focus the development of a KA-2 under Erasmus +. The 2nd EYC will take place in Weimar, Germany from 10.10.2014 to 16.10.2014. 35 people, including trainers and staff will take part at this project coming from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, FYROM, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Portugal and Romania. The long-term outcome of this project line will be the strengthening of Recognition of Non-Formal Education on a personal, social and political level in Europe.
