2nd Chance Str. represents an interdisciplinary project that aims to support young street folk musicians who did not have the opportunity for any further professional development. The main goal here is the inclusion of talented disadvantaged youth by encouraging intercultural dialogue between neighbor countries and collaborated creativity. In the context of youth unemployment and social inequalities issues and also multicultural dialogue and building a European awareness core goal of the project is to present a variety of opportunities for personal and professional development in the field of music art. Also this project is not only to support young artists to gain valuable experience by working with proved professionals and amateurs in the music and film industry, but also to open doors to new international and intercultural projects. The project participants are artists, whose professional music career development was hindered by any social and economical reasons and they represents both the group of self-taught great talents and those who already gained a music degree. In this line of thought the profile of the participants is formed on the basis of the disadvantaged position of young people and their fewer opportunities. The project aims to share an expertise and know-how with the youngest generation of musician and coach and further develop their musical and singing potential by offering them a platform for public and artistic expression in front of a diverse and multicultural audience. Core idea of this project is to stimulate the interdisciplinary collaboration between musicians and audiovisual artist and filmmakers by sharing and completing key skills and competences in a multicultural learning environment. The project will be implemented within 14 days of activities in Balchik and aims to share with all participants diverse opportunities for personal and professional development in the music industry field. Based on their performances all participants will be later on divided into different groups supervised by tutors – music experts with different backgrounds. The project includes educational and practical part. The educational part combines variety of lectures, trainings, workshops, master classes for building the necessary capacity of knowledge and musical competence for a successful career and professional realization, as well as business skills such as music marketing and management, self promotion, crowd finding, development and training of the audience, stage behavior, communication skills, etc. The training exchange project will run parallel with “In The Palace” International Short Film Festival which will be held between the 27th June and 5th July, 2014 in Balchik, Bulgaria. On the basis of the gained knowledge and practice during the previous project activities all participants in the youth exchange project will have the chance to give publicity and present themselves by participating in live performances in front of a diverse and international audience. Within this project all participants will be able to collaborate and work closely with audiovisual artist and filmmakers and to come up with their own original music video, audio-visual performance and a film music composes. By all this the project aims to build a platform for artistic expression, multicultural dialog and interdisciplinary collaborative work between different artist, such as musician, audiovisual and digital artists and filmmakers. After the project activities have been completed, their results will be further multiplied by not only online publishing all music videos, master classes and podcast but also presenting them to the local music television channels. Furthermore, the project partner organizations also commit to provide broadcasting and presentation of the final products of the young talents in local national media channels, radio and television.
