Our staff (five teacher of different subjects: Italian, English and French and special needs) will attend the following courses: 1. Tap-Swipe-Pinch: How to promote the use of tablets at school; 2. ‘Best Practices Benchmarking’: bi- and multilateral collaboration of schools by organising mutual benchmarking courses of educational staff. 3. ‘How to make your school more international’: developing of policy plan of internationalisation, project work and European dimension in curriculum through different topics.
1. Tap-Swipe-Pinch. The course aims to:
• present teachers the potential that iPads, Android and Windows 8 tablets offer in their daily practice in the classroom especially in their preparation of the activities that facilitate collaborative learning, research, creativity and assessment;
• raise awareness and gain teaching skills in the use of tablets and new media to promote learning -explore new ways in which tablets and new media can help the learner to develop communication, research and self-expression;
• be able to identify the possible obstacles faced when using a variety of device types in the classroom;
• develop a set of classroom expectations for student devices in the classroom;
• create sample lessons that can be completed by students using a variety of devices;
• discuss the relationships among innovation, creativity, traditional education, and standards.
Course methodology
The course will be a mixture of theory based on practical examples and sessions giving the participants ‘hands on’ opportunities to trial use and evaluate tablets and different apps according to the subject they teach. The trainers who come from various European Countries have good professional background and expertise. They will contribute to the course with their knowledge and skills, share experiences and support participants to work together and design useful examples of working with tablets in in the classroom.
The key part of the course will be presentations from experts and specialists on various topics with examples and case studies. Trainees will collaborate with participants to build and present good examples of usages. Participants will create their own multimedia learning lessons, and engage in face-to-face discussions. They will design specific activities related to specific disciplines and levels.
2. Benchmarking objectives - innovational development. Aims for the staff:
• to learn about “best practices”, i.e. how work is organized in other schools and what up-to-date learning premises might look like in practical life;
• to improve the quality of teaching, studying and learning processes in our school;
• to develop our work organization better and
• to explore how classrooms are or should be organized.
Our schools wants to achieve a higher level of competences for school staff that can
• develop – together with the board members - a vision and chapters in school policy plan on innovation
• create standing structures and models for innovation
• facilitate school or institution for digital transformation
• accommodate the importance of technology in education and how this affects teaching and learning;
• introduce teachers, headteachers and ICT coordinators in schools to concepts, tools, and exchanges about digital learning;
• organise and advance in-service training of staff both online and on-site, for example by means of MOOCs given by the EU, benchmarking and digital apprenticeship;
• arrange different activities with stakeholders;
• ensure the quality of the projects and link them to the curriculum;
• communicate and collaborate with domestic partners and partners abroad.
3. How to make your school more international;
Our school needs qualified staff that can:
• develop – together with the board members - a vision and a school policy plan on internationalisation
• manage and organise all kind of international activities with or without partners abroad
• ensure the quality of the projects and link them to the curriculum
• stimulate the streamlining of curricular elements with an international orientation
• apply successfully for grants within the Erasmus plus programme
• communicate and collaborate intercultural with partners abroad

• How to become a good coordinator of internationalization?
• Developing formats of international project work (both f2f and virtual).
• How to set up a multilateral, bilateral, Regio Partnership in Erasmus Plus and how to apply successfully for a Erasmus Plus grant.
• How to develop the European and international dimension in the curriculum.
• How to develop the intercultural competences of the teachers taking part in international projects.
• How to take part in global virtual projects with schools in Partner Countries (e.g. Asia)?
