About Me

ARSIS’s mission is to contribute to the development of a progressive, democratic educational model for social work, which is enriched by applied programs that take into account the socio-political context of contemporary Greek Society.

The programs, activities and political interventions that ARSIS launches are designed to have a multidisciplinary approach and to promote individual empowerment and ; ARSIS’s educational activities deliberate both personal and social educational potential and emphasize the importance in learning to assert and practise one’s rights.

ARSIS upholds a democratic-participatory organizational model that adheres to the communal values of social solidarity and equality in all its actions. The staff and volunteers of the organization are called to be cooperative, communicative, respectful, conscious of and responsive to the socio/political issues that ARSIS deals with.

Finally, ARSIS deliberately studies the detrimental effects that poverty, unemployment, and the lack of legal/institutional protection of human rights, have on the lives of young people and socially vulnerable groups, so as to organize methods, tools and actions by which social integration and access to equitable employment, political rights and social welfare become feasible.
