About Me

AnthropoLinks is a French research and consulting group in Socio‐anthropology and Environmental anthropology. We work at international level, with a strong involvement in Sub-Saharan Africa (Guinea, Cameroon, Gabon, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo).

AnthropoLinks specializes in social impact assessment and planning for both the public sector (public policies, development projects…) and the private sector (large-scale infrastructure projects). We help our clients to better assess and understand the social environment of their project’s development area, in order to prevent social & cultural risks, to promote sustainable relationships between all local stakeholders and to comply with international safeguard policies (including IFC performance standards).

Our goal is to provide a clear overview of the actions to be taken, to assist our client in getting their projects planned and operational while meeting their commitments to identifying and managing the impacts on local populations, social and cultural resources, and the environment.

Our experts are PhD Anthropologists and Social consultants with a solid experience in:

  • Planning, managing and leading projects;
  • Collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data;
  • Implementing innovative and relevant methodology, adapted to projects and cultural specificities;
  • Providing management plan, strategic and action plan, recommendations and other process and tools prior to and during all project steps/phases;
  • Writing reports and participating in communications;
  • Managing and training local teams in socioeconomic methodology and survey protocols.

AnthropoLinks specializes in managing risks and impacts related to:

  • Large infrastructure projects: port, road and railway construction, dams & power plants;
  • Extractive industries: mining, forestry;
  • Land-use planning: urban and rural planning, resettlement, conservation and protected areas.
