The Sustainable Food and Handicraft Festival will seek to become an annual international co-event held in rural and semi-urban regions across Europe. Designed to establish sustainable food security as an essential fabric of society, it will highlight indigenous food produce, specifically geographic specific products, and traditional food and craft work cultures by proposing the need to introduce sustainable systems including local short chain programmes at fairs and festivals, street markets and cultural events. There will be several 'living laboratory' events in 2016 that will produce data to be used in compiling work packages for H2020 and other funding calls. At this stage we are seeking partners who are prepared to work on the first phase of events during 2016 and then participate in the proposals for the February 2017 round, to seek funding for the second phase and up-scaled festivals.
